FMP ANIMATION

For the final major project of my foundation course I produced this animation based on the Daldinia concentrica fungus also known as "King Alfred's Cakes". I used stop frame and light drawing techniques
I probably should have done this in a series of different posts but i forgot so here is the final video and a few pieces of work that lead up to it.

NOTTINGHAM TRENT

The other day I accepted my place studying
Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent!
I cant wait to start in October as Cambridge is really
beginning to bore me.
This beut will be my house for the next year.

PAIRED IMAGES BOOK

Using photos taken over the last 2 years or so I decided to create a book of 'paired images'. The book presents the images in twos allowing the opposing pages to complement one another. when coupling the images I was looking for similar themes, colour ranges and compositions.

here are a few bad scans..

PAST CDS

Early last year my band The Mavericks of Love put together an Ep and I produced the sleeve and overall package.
I used photos of a swimming pool reflecting the surrounding trees with the little robot that cleans the water sunken beneath the water. The Band use this swimming pool a lot in the summer so this image captures those sweeeet band memories. I am really pleased with how the overall package turned out. Its now sold online HERE

Recently for Christmas 2009 Dracula 3000 (a friend of ours) did a remix for us so we gave it away both online and physically as a little Christmas present for listeners. Jamie from Dracula 3000 took this photo that we used for the xmas artwork.

Im new here/KRIS KNIGHT

A few friends have been using this site for thier art/ideas. Ive found myself checking up on thiers. So whyy not make my own.
Here it is. I named it 'FLOOD OF GOOD'

My first post will be on this painter I stumbled across yesterday
KRIS KNIGHT
Kris Knight is a Canadian painter specialising in these Portraits. I am not usually one for portraits but im really drawn to these. the pale skin and red face leaves them looking unwell. Yet they shine glossy and look polished up for the portrait.
Its the middle of winter right now and everyones face is looking abit weathered like this. Perhaps this is why i am attracted to his work right now. I cant imagine visiting an exhibition of his in the heat of summer.
